The ultimate Scottish ribbon! We looked for years for a thistle ribbon and never found one, so we designed our own. The thistle is the floral symbol of Scotland. The story goes that the Norse invaders landed on the Scottish coast and promptly became entangled in the wild thistles. Their screams of pain alerted the Scottish defenders and they threw the Norsemen back into the sea, thus saving Scotland. The thistle is both delicate and tough, and it is depicted here amongst a strong Celtic knotwork. The blue/white colorway represents the St. Andrews flag and the red/black colorway reflects colors frequently depicted in Tartans.
